Gunpowder Gelatine (Queen tribute) with 1977.
Gunpowder
Gelatine, the world's only all-female Queen
tribute, was conceived in 2005, as the
brainchild of life-long Queen fans Allison
Sigrist (bass) and Kelly Davis (lead vocals).
Audiences will be fascinated by the unusual
character of this band. The members of Gunpowder
possess a great command of vocals and pay a
powerful homage to very popular ‘70’s and
80’s band known for its musical diversity. It
is uniquely refreshing to hear classic Queen
songs enhanced with rich female overtones.

Sigrist
proposed the creation of the band to Davis in
2005 and it took two years for this “crazy
idea” to come to fruition. Nonetheless, in
September of 2007, Sigrist and Davis, along with
Nancy Galluzzo (drums), Kate Dobroth (keyboards)
and Julie Perron (guitar), plunged into Queendom
and debuted to a thrilled packed house at the
first annual Big Moves Queen for a Day show. The
opening date (September 5 th ) coincided with
former Queen band vocalist Freddie Mercury's
61st birthday.
Gunpowder’s
love for the music and dedication to replicating
Queen's live sound leave every audience they
play to begging for more. You can visit their
website to preview their music at: www.myspace.com/gunpowdergelatinemusic.
The
band 1977 opens for Gunpowder and performs the
best of punk, new wave and glam; not the radio
hits from the punk/new wave era, but the really
good stuff from seminal acts like The Clash,
Elvis Costello, Devo, Joe Jackson, Television
and anybody else who was making great sounds in
the late 70's.

The Rose Wharf Band (Grateful Dead and
beyond)
The
Rose Wharf Band has always been one of the most
popular bands in Taunton. Now with their new
selections from the Beatles and Tom Petty, and
some new Grateful Dead tunes, their dedicated
audience has a lot to be happy about. Their
following beams with pleasure and respect for
the music and then they are up and jumping,
swinging to the music. We would describe The
Rose Wharf Band as an excellent Grateful Dead
tribute, if their repertoire didn’t include so
many other great selections. We would describe
them as a great cover band if their musicianship
didn’t elevate the covers to such an
impressive degree.
Cover $5. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Show starts at
9:30 PM
