Jeff
Pitchell and the Texas Flood to Play Taunton |
|
April
15, 2009 - Taunton, MA - Saturday, April 18th will be
a first for the city of Taunton as nationally acclaimed Rock,
Rhythm and Blues performer Jeff Pitchell takes the stage at a
local venue. Jeff, a dynamic and exciting high-energy performer,
will bust loose with a blues fever that may permanently infect
the local music scene.
Entertainment
writer Donnie Moorhouse of The Republican claims that
"Pitchell can flat out play. He is highly revered locally
(in Connecticut) but still way too underrated. He backs it up
with a soulful voice and solid song selection." |
|
Jeff
Pitchell’s Pyramid Records release "Heavy Hitter"
remained number seven on the Billboard charts for twelve
consecutive weeks. Jeff Pitchell and the Texas Flood have
continued to make headlines causing quite a stir in the music
world. Jeff recently won two awards for his songwriting: one
from the American Great Song Contest for his song "Prisoner
of Love", and one from the International Songwriting
Contest for "Eye for an Eye".
Jeff
has been on stage with and produced recordings with a number of
top-notch performers including Rick Derringer, Kenny Wayne
Shepard and Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers. Jeff opened for
the legendary B.B. King eleven times receiving standing
ovations.
Pitchell
is a college
graduate and has taught as a schoolteacher, but he himself was
enrolled into the world of music at an early age and swathed in
the trappings of a performer. He started singing at the age of
three and playing classical piano at the age of twelve. |

This celebration
is open to all graduating seniors of Norton High and
is a fun-filled, safe and festive occasion that will truly cap
off their high school memories. The Attleboro YMCA generously
allows use of their facility, hosting the event from 11:00 p.m.

we ask them is once they arrive, they stay until the
evening is over. This will ensure a memorable, but safe
graduation night for our seniors. Parents can feel secure that
their son/daughter is celebrating in a protected environment
with no driving, drinking or drugs. It’s a giant party that
includes swimming, dancing, games, free entertainment, free
